![]() ![]() God of War III's ending shows him releasing hope into the world, apparently forgiving himself, but, as God of War 4 shows us, he is anything but fully healed. That's a long time to still be consumed, wounded, and haunted by his dark past. ![]() With all this in mind, I am gonna have a crack at a guess of God of War 4 being set roughly 1,500 years after God of War III. ![]() The Norse myths, spread by word of mouth and written down, occured roughly around the 1200s, so, let's say that the Norse gods were around - so to speak - around the year 1000. In my own head, estimating it, the first God of War games occur during the Heroic Age of Greek Mythology, as told by the Greek poet Hesiod, so, roughly, 500 B.C. Any guesstimations based on the historical myths and their supposed time periods? Cory Barlog in interviews has hinted that he and the writers know, which gives it some semblance of importance.
